Vrajlal Sura, Founder – Chairman

Late Mr. V. Sura, the Emeritus Chairman of the Newkem Group was a graduate with a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Universtiy of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He germinated his thought of providing Industrial Insulation materials in India by kick starting Newkem Products Corporation in 1953. Newkem began manufacturing of Glasswool and Calcium Silicate Insulation material for the Industrial Construction Sector.

Under his leadership Newkem grew from being the first to the most renowned manufacturer and solution provider of Thermal Insulation, Passive Fire Protection, Steel and Mechanical Construction in India. His dedication and efforts led Newkem to bring new-age global products, like Thermolite (Calcium Silicate), Vermiculite Fire Protection Systems and Intumescent Paints to our national markets.
